Hi –
I set Turn off monitor to ‘after 25 mins’ but it turns off after 10 mins.
I then indicated 2 mins and that worked.
I then re-entered 25 mins but it turned off after 10 mins. How can I change this to what I want?
Thanks

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I stopped setting a screen saver when I got rid of my last monochrome monitor. I think they called it a “Paper White”. There were also Amber and Green Screens. Ah, the good ol’ days!
Screen savers were designed because those old monitors ran at a very high intensity and the screen would burn with whatever design was left on them for very long, like a menu or LOGO screen.
In came color monitors and out went the screen savers.
Today, with the LED or LCD monitors, screens don’t burn and screen savers are as out of date as the wash-board or the butter churn.
If you want to set power options to be most efficient and useful, set Turn Off Monitor to NONE and set Turn Off Hard drive to 10 minutes. All other options to NONE or NO, or NEVER.
That’s the way I set all my computers.
