Post anonymously to a Public Folder (Outlook 2003 SP1)

We’d like to set up a public folder where employees can email anonymous suggestions.

*Anyone needs to be able to email to it, something like suggestions@ourcompany.com
*It doesn’t matter if everyone can see the folder or not, but the people who can see the folder and its posts/emails cannot be able to see the sender (with the exception of our network admin).

Any ideas?

I’d set up a web page with a feedback form that ’emails’ the replies to the relevant folder. I’m not sure there is a way you can guarantee anonymity though – if you allow other people to see the posts, they will see the same info as the administrator (in theory).

You may be able to get it to include additional information like the network address of the machine used to send the message if you thought it essential, but if you are asking for anonymous suggestions, you should really make it that!

Yes, this is one way. We’d like to keep it all in Outlook though. The idea is to make it as anonymous as possible while still keeping it in Outlook. The IT department would follow the ethical standards of not checking up on who posted what since we really doubt there is a way to convince Outlook to be completely anon.
