A very interesting app. As you know there are a large number of encryption algorithms available – are you able to advise which is best?

In theory, aes-256-cbc would be the most secure of the available options, but in reality, no one is going to break any of these if the password hashing is good, the hashing and salting is as important as the cipher itself.
