Hello —  Sorry if this is not the correct forum, but it seems the cloest to my question

I been using gmail to read  my hotmail account  via outlook.com’s pop3  interface  — it  stopped working on Oct 1 — does anyone know if MS changed this access?

If you use an older client you may need to use an “app password” to access the mail.

Microsoft sent out emails in early July about this change. Pop3 access is still possible but now requires OAuth2 authentication. However, Google hasn’t updated their account import wizard in gmail to include OAuth2. My guess is they probably won’t.

yes — you got  it exactly —  the process now required OAuth2  — an its my guess it  will be a cold day in hell when gmail will update the wizzard to access other email  account —  aol still  does not work
