Please Recommend forum/sites re. methods for collecting data & db storage

If this is wrong fora, please excuse

am looking for discussions regarding efficient collection of data (text,images,etc.) from e.g. iPhone and export to database e.g. SQLServer – in lieu of building a dedicated .Net application.

for instance, iPhone has a simple voice recording app that produces text transcript and allows for naming. That gets saved to iCloud automatically, but then must be downloaded, extracted, etc. manually entered in database interface (Access)

likewise, inputs to OneNote have no simple export, and to OneDrive similar to iCloud, although more programmatic approach in MSoft environment possible.

Also tried to use MS Lists – not very exportable (to excel only, but possibly scripting to SQLServer)

PowerApps also possible, but expensive to deploy (I’ve been told by some who’ve tried.)

please advise – seems to me this workflow would have been extensively developed ‘in the wild’

Collecting that data from different apps in different formats is never going to be easy. I can’t see how it can be done without paying someone lots of money or spending it on yourself (time).

Thanks – I was hoping someone in this fora could suggest ‘discussions’ where this type of thing is discussed. And to your point, possibly Salesforce, or ?.com, incorporates such mechanisms (and/or bought the competition) but it just seems that this (data collection->database) is so intrinsic to the whole enterprise (knowledge management) that there Should Be some (a lot of) folks working on this endeavor.
