Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Another option on migrating to new OS would be migrating to ChromeOS Flex for free
“I’ve noticed that some online stores don’t work well on my sister’s iPad but when she visits the same store on her Windows PC, that button she couldn’t find is now in plain sight.”
In my experience, that problem is usually caused by Safari, not the Apple computer or iPad. An easier solution is to install Chrome on the Apple device. Just opening the misbehaving website in that alternative browser almost always solves the problem, and if it doesn’t, opening it in a PC won’t, either. Fortunately, I encountered such trouble on my Macs or iPads very rarely, but for the first time, and by a very weird coincidence, I encountered one in trying to submit this comment on an iPad using the default Safari browser. Clicking “Submit” did nothing, but doing it in Chrome on the same iPad worked a treat. Voilà.
Another thing to remember when migrating, is fined all your software serial license keys etc.
When moving to a new computer and installing software you may first need
to deactivate the current license before you can apply the license key on the new computer.
Yes it does depend on how many devices the license is aloud to be used on.
I just know sometimes it can be, one device only,
the license key can activated be on.

“The license associated with this product allows for free personal use only.”
I have good luck with Belarc Advisor and the Tech Radar article is useful.
