I’m new to Access but have had fairly heavy experience on other PC DB products and the rest of the MS Office suite to VBA level.

I’m looking to create a simple “Issues” database that records an Issue description and then subsequent actions.
I could do this in Excel (my comfort zone) but am interested in getting pointed to somewhere in Access that would give me a head start.

    Any suggestions?

Activate the ‘New File’ task pane and click ‘General Templates’ in the ‘New from template’ section. The Templates dialog will open. If you have installed the database templates, the Databases tab should contain – among others – Service Call Management. This may give you something to play with. You can also download such a database from Microsoft here.
