If I look under Temporary Files in the Storage Usage section of Windows 10 settings on one of my computers, I am finding 5 gb of files associated with Pending Updates and Preview Builds but can not find any way to remove these files other than performing a reset which I am not wanting to do. Disk Cleanup does not remove these files and I believe they are there due to a listed failed installation of KB3201845 in my update history. On another of my computers, the amount shown in the same location is only 30 mb. Does anyone know how to delete these files other than the aforementioned hard reset?
I just discovered, by searching the Windows folder for KB3201845, the folder associated with this failed update. It is located in Windows>SoftwareDistribution>Download and bears one of those long names with many letters and numbers. It is over 4 gb in size and accounts for my problem. Knowing this, is it safe to simply delete that folder?
