My first PDF reader was Adobe, and the I got Foxit reader and liked it better. I had some probles with the PC Win XP) and had to take it to a shop. When I got it back, I found that although Foxit
still read PDF files on my HD, when I tried to read a pdf file on a web site that I look after, it would not read. A message saying something like “OCXocx failed to open”
I thought perhaps if I uninstalled and then re-downloaded Foxit, it might be OK, but it still fails to read the web file.
I don’t know if there is a way to make Adobe work on the web site; is there a setting in either program to make it the default for reading PDF. Once I am viewing the web site, I can’t ask for Adobe
to work; it must be programmed to use Foxit.

Which browser are you using? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, …)

It may be that you have not installed Firefox plugin successfully.
Reinstall Firefox plugin and make sure there are two files of Firefox plugin in plugins folder of Foxit Reader: npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll and FoxitReaderOCX.ocx.
See Foxit Software – Foxit Reader for Windows for details.
