Susan Bradley Patch Lady/Prudent patcher
Hi Susan,
just an FYI here – I already had 3 devices misbehave. Always the combo Win11 + Office 2021.
Windows itself does not seem to have an issue, but the MS Office does. None of the Office apps is able to start. No open error message, no dialog, just silence.
The only thing you can see is in the Application event log, is the 0xc0000008 error when AppVIsvSubsystems64.dll crashes.
MS Office build 16.0.17628.20144

UPDATE
As discovered by Xetrill, the issue is caused by the Windhawk code injection used for the taskbar modificaion which the New Office version does not like.
You have 2 options
1) Exclude “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\*” in Windhawk
2) Uninstall Windhawk (or wait for an update)
This is a great lesson that you ALWAYS have to be aware of your third party apps that are making changes to Microsoft code.
File Explorer
Start Menu
Office changes (etc etc)
All of this is not tested by Microsoft.

Windhawk version 1.6 with ARM64 support
..ARM64 support. Windhawk can now be installed on ARM64 versions of Windows, and customization of native ARM64 programs is fully supported. Customization of x86 and x64 programs on ARM64 Windows has some limitations, which might be improved in the future. Some mods may need to be adjusted by their authors to work correctly on ARM64 Windows…
