If you recently got that, it’s just due to click to run update as noted in an Office KB.  Bottom line, click through the accept it should be just fine

I’m surprised that the article omits whether there is a difference between the old EULA and the new.

The wonder what else MS is claiming after your first born male child? Fortunately I do not use Office at home and corporate can worry about such matters for me at work.

I haven’t encountered this issue during the past two days, perhaps because I use Office 365 without being logged in. I only log in, when necessary, to reactivate Office 365. I also don’t allow OneDrive to be installed on any of my home computers since it has caused issues in the past.

Hi, only issue is I don’t have Office 365 – I deliberately chose to just get Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook 2016 to be installed on my PC when I bought it about a year ago.  Yet I’m still getting presented with this EULA which says I’ve got apps installed (which I don’t), and requires me to accept this new EULA and won’t let me access any of my existing files until I do.

I regard this as malware installed by Microsoft without due regard to the commercial realities of running a small business and will be investigating legal avenues to challenge their right to block me from using software I’ve already paid for to access files I’ve created!
