Is it correct that PowerPoint 97/2K presentations cannot be password protected? I was doing some experimentation on Jezsik’s problem and I can’t find a way to put a password on a presentation either in PPT 97 or PPT2K. Word and Excel both let you add passwords during the ‘Save As’ process, but it’s not there for PPT and try as I might, I can’t find anything about setting a password on a file in the Help text.
Can anyone confirm it’s not possible or tell me how it can be done, please?

There’s a product called PrezGuard Pro http://www.aladat.com/. There is also a discussion at this PowerPoint FAQ.

Thanks for the info Doug; the FAQs area looks mighty interesting.
[whinge]So in this here MS integrated office suite, with the same code being reused (it is, tell me it is, please grovel) a design decision has been made to remove a standard feature of the Save As dialogue because – why?
I just don’t understand those people sometimes. [/whinge]

PowerPoint has never (until now) had password protection. It is available in PowerPoint 2002.
