• Password Protect (2000)

I was asked to password protect an excel document. The person that showed me how to do that went to ToolsOptionsSecurity and set up the password. They are working in excel 2002. My version doesn’t seem to have that option. Is it perhaps located somewhere else in my version or do I need to put in a request for an upgrade?

The person that opens the document should not see anything on it until the correct password has been entered. I do have the option of preventing edits by going to ToolsProtection but that isn’t enough security.

Thank you in advance for your support,
    Theresa

Select File, Save-as and click on the Tools button at the top of the dialog. Then choose Genral Options.
