Bleeping Computer just published an article (09/13) stating that in addition to audio problems in games, users are reporting:

1) Windows 10 search feature is still broken
2) Windows Search doesn’t start at all

after installing the Win 10 KB4515384 cumulative update.

As a side note and somewhat related, I’ve installed all Win 7 Group B SO updates and have experienced no audio problems (24 bit, 96000 hz studio quality) through optical out.

I was silly and let my home PC install the latest updates.  Now I have no sound in games or twitch.

You could roll it back to the previous Build and wait to let it update again until MS fixes the problem.
