Is there a way to save my page setup so I don’t have to adjust it everytime?

Page setup is saved with each worksheet in a workbook, so in existing workbooks, you shouldn’t have to adjust it every time. If you want to “fix” the page setup for new workbooks, create workbook and worksheet templates as follows:
– Create a new workbook. Don’t enter any data, but adjust the page setup for all worksheets the way you want it.
– Save this workbook as a template (.xlt) in your XLSTART folder under the name Book.xlt.
– The exact name is language dependent; in the English language version of Excel, you MUST use Book.xlt.
– Remove all worksheets except one.
– Save the remaining worksheet as a template (.xlt) in your XLSTART folder under the name Sheet.xlt.
– The same comment about languages applies here.
Quit and restart Excel. From now on, it should use the templates you created as basis for new workbooks and worksheets.

Another Question . . . Is there a way to save more than one page setup option? This is much better than what I’ve been working with but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

You can save as many templates as you wish in the default User Templates folder (this is the folder in which Excel wants to save initially when you save as a template). You can then create a new workbook from one of the templates by selecting File | New…

How do I get my page setup to be automatic for ALL worksheets in a workbook to reflect setup of the first worksheet? The spreadsheets I’m working on all have the same orientation, footers, margins etc and it is such a pain to have to change them for each worksheet after the first one. I do have a default template that I have created. Do I have to do every darned worksheet in it?

Try this:
– Right-click the sheet tab of the first sheet.
– Select Select All Sheets from the popup menu.
– Select File | Page Setup…
– Click OK.
– Click on any other sheet tab to undo the selection of all sheets.
This should make the page setup for all sheets the same as that of the first one.

Here how to copy page set up to other sheets quickly:

1. Activate the sheet that has the desired page setup changes.
2. Select the “target” sheets, using CTRL+Click on sheet tabs!
3. Select File | Page Setup and choose OK

The page setup of the source sheet that you selected 1st, will be transferred to ALL the other sheets.
