Can I set page 1 as portrait and set page 2 as Landscape in a document?

Yes, that is what section breaks are for.

Click at the end of page 1, preferably in an empty line.
      Select Insert/End Marker…
Select Next Page and click OK
You should be on page 2 now.
      Select File/Print Setup…
On the second tab of the dialog, select Landscape.
Make sure that the Apply To box says This section or From this point.
      Click OK.

        HansV,

I can not find the End Marker under the Insert menu. I can see only Next Page under Insert/Break/Section Break Types. Are they the same?

          Hello Dennis,

Sorry about the confusion. I’m using a foreign language version of Word and should have checked the wording in English. It should have been Insert/Break/…

          Regards,
          Hans

            HansV,

Are you using localized version of Office XP under English Windows or localized Windows?

I am using English version of OfficeXP under English WinXP. The major draw back on this combination is the lack of multiple language input supporting on Outlook2002.

              Hello Dennis,

I’m not using XP at all. I’m using the Dutch version of Office 97 SR2 (under English Windows NT4). Office 97 has no multi-language support.
But I do have a list of translations; I just dind’t take the time to check that. As you noticed, that was dumb…

              Regards,
              Hans
