My sister-in-law just called with a question I can’t answer. Maybe someone can point us in the right direction.

She is trying to go to the web site https://uhauldealer.com[/url%5D – on one computer it works fine but on her other computer it just gives her a “page not found” error message. This computer is using Internet Explorer 6.0.2900 with SP2. It works fine on my computer with IE 6.0.2800.1106 with SP1.

I tried it with different security and privacy settings and always got to the page fine so that has nothing to do with it. Any thoughts??

PS – I should add that she’s using WinXP Home I believe on both computers and I’m using Win98 if it helps.

The link you posted has “https”, on the machine that it does not work on, is the https or http being used?

Also, the first time I went to the link, IE asked if I wanted to proceed, did some one block the entry beore?

Problem solved. After trying a variety of stuff, she eventually found that her Norton Antivirus had some problems too, and she couldn’t get it to uninstall or reinstall properly. Don’t know for sure if that was connected, but she backed up her important stuff and then did a system restore from her computer’s restoration disk. Then reinstalled the antivirus. Now everything seems to be working properly and the web page problem disappeared.

Dave, regarding the http/https when I tried going to that page on my computer it didn’t matter whether I typed just uhauldealer.com, or the compete address using https:// or http:// … it always defaulted to the correct site. And I don’t know why IE asked you if you wanted to proceed. I never got that at all.

        Thanks anyway.
