Just a general question about what to avoid or provide for in an Access P2P environment (aside from not doing it at all).
BTW, I’m having a miserable time getting the P2P to even work, but that belongs in a different forum. See post 266576 if you can help.

Is peer to peer all you have for networking? The biggest problem is going to be the mapping for any paths involved, since something on *your* C: drive, won’t be on C: if someone else is trying to use it.

This is not the best economic environment to be making capital investments, so I thought I’d give P2P a go for now. Alas, I can’t even get that to work though. Just about to the point of abandoning ship on the whole idea – can’t even share a printer!

Probably the most important issue in this case is the operating system on the 2 pcs. So it really isn’t an Access question (yet). Also, what medium are you using to connect the two computers? There are folks who deal with this kind of stuff regularly – myself included – so we should be able to help you sort out the problems.
