• Overlapping charts (Excel 2003)

    Dear Lounger,

I have about 100 workbooks that contain a single sheet (attached sample). Each sheet contains different rows of data. Is there a way to automate the plotting of charts, a PDF example is also attached. (Or rather, is it even possible to plot that kind of chart in Excel?)

    Thank you All in advance.

I don’t think Excel can do this with 3D charts, but it can be done with bar charts, using both a secondary category axis and a secondary value axis, and reversing the order of the secondary axes. See attached example.

        Thanks Hans,

Is it possible to automate the plotting though? I am still using the codes you provided a while back to open each workbook and plot line charts. I am stumbled on plotting this kind of bar charts now.

        Regards
        Riduwan

If you put all the workbooks in the same folder (without other workbooks), you can use the attached workbook. This workbook should be stored in another folder.

Click the button to run the macro.
