I can open outlook but when I try to open an e-mail or access the mail format tab under tools, options, I get the following error: outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.” I have uninstalled outlook, and reinstalled; started outlook in safe mode, and removed add-ins, uninstalled and reinstalled office. I still get the same error. I have Micron PC Client Pro with Office 2000 installed.

This iss one of the message we have gotten at work when the Elkern Virus infected us. Have you checked with a recent virus scan?

Yes, Norton is running and didn’t find anything. I have also tried all the solutions on Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 297010 with no results.
