MICROSOFT 365 By Peter Deegan The Signature feature in Outlook is nice, but it has lots of gotchas at the moment. It’s a mess. A lot depends on which

I am using the traditional or classic version of Outlook. I have never seen any signature appear on any email I write. I emailed myself to test this and nothing shows up that I did not do myself.

If I’m understanding correctly, you need to make a signature first. Outlook for Windows/Mac doesn’t come with any pre-made signatures.

In a new email window, look for the Signatures button then the Signatures … dialog to make your signature.

I’ve been reading Microsoft forum posts stating that ALL versions of Outlook prior to Outlook 2019 will stop working on September 24th, 2024.
Not surprisingly they are all from Microsoft it’s self or their certified minions.

Nowhere do they state that they are only talking about Outlook.com accounts and (if there are) any other MS hosted email services. This seems to be just another blatant scare tactic by the sales department. If what they were saying were really true I’d think that Google would be shouting it from the rafters to all their Gmail users using Outlook 2007 on up.
In the meantime they’re doing their best to scare the bejesus out of people on the forums

Office 2016 EOS is October 14, 2025. I assume Outlook 2016, that is a part of the suite, shares that date.

        Not true at al.

As PRCamo  says, Office 2016 ends extended support on 14 October 2025. See https://office-watch.com/2024/microsoft-office-support-end-dates-checklist/ for a full list of Office support dates.

But that only means the end of support/updates — the software will keep working past that date.

Some links to these MS Support Forum posts would help so we can understand what’s being said and perhaps clarify further.
