I have recently discovered that Outlook doesn’t always seem to close properly when I shut it down. It seems to be remaining as a background process in memory even though the application itself has supposedly been closed. It seems to be related to either ZoneAlarm version 7 or Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC but my gut instinct is that it is ZoneAlarm since the problem has been manifesting itself for much longer than Uniblue has been on the scene.
Aside from the fact that it is taking RAM to run in the background, it also creates a ZoneAlarm crash when the computer is left idle. Not a big deal, but definitely a pain.
Has anyone got any bright ideas? Right now, I’m pulling up the task manager to see if it is still running and killing Outlook.exe if it is still there.
