    I am using Office 2k on XP pro. Recently I installed a program that puts all your windows in one, but tabbed. Works great, but does limit your screen some. When I shut it down, I was only able to have either full screen for Outlook main page, or nothing. It seems to disappear offscreen to the upper left corner. Right clicking on the button in the taskbar only lets you restore fullscreen or hides it. Right clicking on an icon shows that it is set to open normal. I even did a system restore to a couple days before I installed the prog. The prog is called WinTabber. http://www.wintabber.com[/url%5D. Other pages I open from the main page open and close properly- emails etc. Any ideas out there?

      Can you manually resize the main Outlook page? Then close it & re-open it.

      Can’t resize. Only have the 2 views. Full screen, or nothing.Right click size or move do nothing except put the 4 arrow cursor in upper left corner out of view, and you can’t do anything with it. You can move it, but it doesn’t bring the window back. I have a feeling it is a registry thing, but restoring to an earlier time should have solved that I would think.

        When you move it can’t you ‘grab’ an edge and resize it?

          Nope. It’s maximized. Can’t resize at all.

            What happens when you click the “Maximize” button, does it display the single logo vs the double logo?
            If the single is displayed now you should be able to gram a side or corner and drag to a smaller size.

              Nope. If I click on the max button, it just disappears. All I have is either maximized or gone.

              Give us a screen shot of the THREE boxes in the upper right corner!

              Edited by HansV to remove white space from picture and to reduce width to less than 640 pixels

              It looks normal. Just doesn’t do what it is supposed to.

            • #1097799

              And what does it look like when you click the Center icon just to the left of the Red one with the white X?

              It should look like this attachment.

              It disappears off the page and the only way I can get it back is to right click on the button in the task bar and choose maximize.

              Click on the Icon and the select “Size”. Once you get the 4 crossed arrows what happens if you use the different “Arrow” keys near the “Num Keys”?

              Can you post a screen shot of the whole screen when your in this Maximized mode?

              Sometimes a window become larger than the available screen size. There is a universal feature of Windows to address this situation: the control menu.

              If you can see the program icon on the upper left corner of the window frame, click it, choose Size, the press the right arrow key once and left arrow key repeatedly until the right side of the window comes into view. Then press Enter. Repeat with the down and up keys. The application should remember this new “restored” size. This should work for all Windows applications.

              If you can’t see the upper left corner, access the control menu by pressing Alt+Spacebar, and then S to initiate resizing.

              If Size is not available (grayed out), your window is maximized. Choose Restore first and start again.

              Added: I might have misinterpreted your post. When you say “it” disappears off the screen, I assumed you were referring to the right end of the window’s title bar. If the entire window disappears off the screen, then you might have to start a bit differently. While Outlook is the active application, press Alt+F11 to call up the Visual Basic Editor. Press Ctrl+G to call up or focus in the Immediate Window. To position the window at the top left of the screen, copy and paste, and then press Enter to run, each of these lines in the Immediate window:

              activeexplorer.left=0
              activeexplorer.top=0

              Any luck?

              That’s it. Your advice on using the size option and the arrow keys did the trick. Thanks ever so much. I likely would never have thought of that.

              Glad that you got it working like it should.
