Starting yesterday, every time I use Outlook2003 to send an e-mail – even a test message to me – something tries to send out my VISA credit card number. Background: I have for months been running Norton Internet Security 2003 with their Private Information section set up to catch any attempt to send the last four digits of my card number. It is normal, every time I tell Outlook to “Send” for the little yellow box to appear saying that Norton is checking the e-mail message for viruses. What is not normal is that then the Norton Privacy blocking window then appears reporting this condition as follows:
Sending To: (My address for the test message)
Catagory: Credit card
etc.
When I take their recommended action of blocking it, Norton IS also blocks sending out the message. The affect is that because of this condition I have lost all ability to send out e-mail. Does anyone know what I’ve caught and how to get rid of whatever is doing this?
