If I have an Outlook [2010] set up as an IMAP account and do local filing — except my sent messages, and then decide to move it over to a POP account, how do I bring down copies of messages that are filed on the host in folders other than the Inbox? I get that when I download my mail all the inbox mail will be retrieved and cleared off the server. But what do I do with other folders?

    Regards,

I’m thinking you can just set up the same account in Outlook twice, one IMAP and one POP3, then copy the messages from the IMAP account to a folder you create in the POP3. You can also export the folders to a PST file, open the file, and copy the mail to your POP3 account.

      Cheers,

More to the point, can I drag messages from an IMAP PST folder over to a [different] POP PST?

But will the messages I export [or drag] from, say, the Sent folder, “stay gone”, or will they reappear as the sync with the online account happens?
