    Hello,

    I’m encountering the message, “The reminder will not appear because the item is in a folder that does not support reminders”, somewhat sporadically when moving (dragging) an appointment for myself (not a meeting) on the calendar to another time or date.

    I’m using desktop app Outlook 365 ProPlus on Windows 10 Enterprise.

    I found this post after a web search: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook/the-reminder-will-not-appear-because-the-item-is-in-a-folder/m-p/142296

    The solution given is a Windows Secrets link 🙂 which is now broken.  I emailed and asked Woody, who graciously searched for me but didn’t find the missing info.  So he suggested a new post here in the forum.

    Can anyone shed some light on why this message is appearing sporadically when I move an appointment on my calendar?

    Thank you for any help.

      @appyface,
      Have had a good look here on askwoody and it’s possible that the thread is missing..corrupt, lost in the merge from Windows Secrets who knows!?. I also checked the wayback site that returns an error 🙁
      Any ex-WSL members have a recollection of this issue and potential fix?
      Seems to point towards an add-in issue..

      Windows - commercial by definition and now function...

      SOLVED: it turned out that the “iCloud Outlook Add-in” had somehow become inactive.  In Outlook, simply go to File – Options – Add-ins and “activate” iCloud Outlook Add-in
