We use Outlook 2024 (Microsoft Office Home and Business 2024) to send and receive email.
Email is sent via an independent service provider other than Microsoft.
Several days ago, we began to run into a problem.
- We click on New Message,
- The message screen opens showing our default From email address,
- We enter the recipient’s email address in the To line,
- Then we enter the Subject text,
- Then enter the message, and
- Click send.
However, after sending the email a second email address is added to the From line in the email that is delivered to addressee. In our case the second (suspicious) email address is the address we used to setup the Microsoft account for some of the software on the computer.
Does anyone know how to prevent the second From email address from being entered onto outgoing email.
