I have chrome set  as my default browser. When I am reading my email in Outlook 2013 and click on a link, I am taken to that link but internet explorer is opened and used for that. I want chrome to open and take me to the link.

I have chrome set as default. What do I need to change to get this to work?

    Thanks,

    Mike

In Settings > Apps > Default apps, check that “Web browser” is set to Chrome.  Then, at the bottom, select “Choose default applications by protocol”.   In there, check that HTTP and HTTPS are also both set to Chrome.

Your instructions are incomplete. First of all which program are you talking about or are you talking about the operating system? How do I get to ‘Settings’? There is no such option in Outlook as far as I can see.

The Settings App can be accessed from the main Menu.

          Menu

In the Settings App, choose Apps.

In Apps, choose Default Apps – be sure Web Browser is set to Chrome (not Firefox as shown).
Then at the bottom choose the link “Choose default applications by protocol

If you need further instructions, please let up know.
