When I open Outlook, The inbox folder icon does not show the folders, Sent, Deleted, Drafts etc, unless I click on the arrow. I want these subfolders open on start up.

It may depend on the View you have set up, however, I also wanted those same folders easily visible in my Outlook 2010. I have Favorites group at the top of the column that is usually on the left side of the Outlook window. To have those folders show up under favorites, right click on the folder you want (example: Drafts), and select Show in Favorites. It doesn’t “move” the folder there, but sort of makes a shortcut. Whichever location you click on will show the same emails located inside the folder. Those folders are always expanded whenever I open Outlook – I don’t have to click on the arrow in the upper left corner to expand the column. NOTE: when closing Outlook, don’t click the arrow to close the column – leave it open so it’s open the next time you open Outlook.
Hopefully, that will work for you.

Do you have Outlook set to open in the Inbox? Go to File | Options | Advanced | Outlook Start and Exit.
