I’ve never seen this one before, and Google is failing me.

Starting on April 22, 2020 when Outlook 2010 is opened (either from a clean close, or after a workstation restart = no difference) two CMD prompts with identical status open up and stick. They don’t close automatically and they don’t progress after they reach a point as shown.

Has anyone else seen this recently – on any version of Outlook?

    This is on:

    Windows 10 Pro 1809 x64 fully patched
    Outlook 2010 – fully patched
Using Office 365 Exchange (no other email accounts)
And started right after patches were installed for April 2020.

I’m likely to find my answer eventually, but thought I might ask here in case anyone has already found and solved this problem.

    TIA!

There are a couple of mentions of Redemption on the error lines there; an add-in library:

      What is Outlook Redemption?

I suggest starting Outlook in safe mode (i.e. without add-ins) by holding Ctrl while clicking the shortcut, or running outlook.exe /safe

      Starting Outlook in Safe Mode

My guess is that the command windows will not appear when add-ins are disabled.

P.S. I’m curious why you still use Outlook 2010 if you’re using Office 365
