    hello Loungers

Anyone knows if there is a web site, or any resources, that can translate technical terms from English to Arabic, and Arabic to English?

    Thanks a Million money

Try a google search with “arabic english translation” that should get what you want.

        thankyou Joe

But Google will not really help, well it will bring down all sorts of translation companies and what have you. Not ideal for translating on the fly a couple of technical words.

For example try and check this site Technical Greek Glossary, and I did a search for similar sites via Google, and did not come up with anyting meaningful. I guess Arabic is still a non-technical language sad

Alternativly, maybe I can find an English site that tells the meaning of technical terms, such as automatic handover when talking about telecommunications. I guess it is the process by which a cell phone for example switches between protocols or something like that.

Wassim, Technical translations are very difficult. Good luck with one of those sites or some software you might search out.

      Wassim,

take a look at Resources for Translators and Interpreters, it has many useful links.
http://www.ajeeb.com/%5B/url%5D has an online English-Arabic, Arabic-English translation tool, as well as http://www.almisbar.com/salam_trans.html%5B/url%5D.

I hope you find what you seek,
      Oana

The Al Misbar web site was the one I was looking for. I had a couple of telecommunications terms to translate, and I simply don’t know the first thing about telecommunication.

But I had heard of Al Misbar and I thought maybe some one will point me to it.

        cheers and you did.

        Thanks a million money
