Order of software installation on a clean, from scratch installation

Here’s my process for a new installation of Windows 10Pro 21H2.  Is this correct?

1. Offline: Install OS, Drivers
2. Offline: Set Group Policy to 2 and no drivers
3. Online: Check Windows Update
4. Online: Check WUShowHide and “Hide” updates as necessary
5. Online: Re-check Windows Update to install updates
6. First Backup using Macrium

Problems with this? Any recommendations appreciated.

Personally, I’d move #6 up to #3. I’d also make an Image backup after each step that has been verified to have completed successfully. Belt & Suspenders…

Good tip.  That way I would have a backup before the updates and could do another later.
