Opening Next Email on Closing or Deleting

I know there is a way to do this but I cant find it.

When I close or delete and email I DONT want the next one to automatically open. How can I turn this feature on and off?

What version of Outlook?

In Outlook 2010:

File > Options > Mail > Other “After moving or deleting an open item” {DROP-DOWN WITH CHOICES}

In Outlook 2003 and earlier, it’s somewhere in Tools > Options.

Sorry I neglected to add that I am using Outlook 2003. I have hunted through tools options and cant locate anything there.

Dont worry – have found it – but the option is not allowed on our SOE.
