    Is anyone else seeing this…

View a Word attachment on this forum and then switch back to the forum using the back button on the browser.
This leaves a hidden instance of Word open on my computer (listed in Task Manager).

The instance will disappear when you close the current instance of your browser. This will occur if you have “Browse in same window” turned on for the .doc extension (you set this by selecting Tools | Folder Options… in Windows Explorer, activating the File Types tab, selecting DOC and clicking Advanced….). If you clear this option, Word documents will open in a separate Word window.

        Hans,
Thanks, that seems to have cured it.
