Online Service Experience Pack — version 3.1.0.900

WU offered the Online Service Experience Pack, but it doesn’t seem to be coming through the usual WU pipeline. Since I use a local account, I was going to hide the update. I tried both wushowhide and the Windows update mini tool. Neither application lists this update, so there doesn’t appear to be a way to hide it. Is this a new twist on updates from Microsoft, or am I just missing something?

WAUManager doesn’t see the update either. But based on the following text from the article that you linked to, it appears that the update comes from another cloud-based channel rather than through the standard WU channel.

“Online Service Experience Packs in Windows 11 improve the delivery of changes and improvements from the cloud. This is another way we can quickly update Windows 11…”

I’m having the same update being offered  on Windows 11 Pro.

 

Has anyone figured out how to block this?

I’m almost tempted to install it to see what it does, but I’m wary of that.

I installed the update earlier today, but I’m not able to identify what changes it made. It literally took only about a second for the update to complete. If anything surfaces, I’ll post back.

Same problem.
Clean install of Win11 Pro 22H2 (goodbye Win 10).
After all debloat and settings, GPE and WU war this suddenly shows up:
Online Service Experience Pack — Windows.Settings.Account — version 3.1.0.933
Can’t hide it with wushowhide or WU MiniTool.
No way I’m installing it and going back to all of the hassle with settings and GPE stuff. As “IT dilettante” it takes me weeks and reduces my lifespan by years
Any ideas how to get rid of it?
