WU offered the Online Service Experience Pack, but it doesn’t seem to be coming through the usual WU pipeline. Since I use a local account, I was going to hide the update. I tried both wushowhide and the Windows update mini tool. Neither application lists this update, so there doesn’t appear to be a way to hide it. Is this a new twist on updates from Microsoft, or am I just missing something?

WAUManager doesn’t see the update either. But based on the following text from the article that you linked to, it appears that the update comes from another cloud-based channel rather than through the standard WU channel.
“Online Service Experience Packs in Windows 11 improve the delivery of changes and improvements from the cloud. This is another way we can quickly update Windows 11…”

AskWoody LoungerMarch 24, 2024 at 9:17 pm #2653081Pretty much the same situation here — would love to hear what others think. Similar, but earlier, issue here: https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/online-service-experience-pack/

AskWoody LoungerApril 28, 2024 at 4:34 am #2664831Same problem.
Clean install of Win11 Pro 22H2 (goodbye Win 10).
After all debloat and settings, GPE and WU war this suddenly shows up:
Online Service Experience Pack — Windows.Settings.Account — version 3.1.0.933
Can’t hide it with wushowhide or WU MiniTool.
No way I’m installing it and going back to all of the hassle with settings and GPE stuff. As “IT dilettante” it takes me weeks and reduces my lifespan by years
Any ideas how to get rid of it?1 user thanked author for this post.
