I know, there is another thread about the same problem, from last january. doesn’t seem to show a resolution.
I read about installing onedrive in the recent Ask Woody issue. I decided to try it because i have a document that i’d like to be able to edit from any device, and my iphone is inadequate for document editing. Only Pages (which then saves in pages format), and Word, which was difficult to use if the document isn’t stored in the few cloud sources it accepts. I had the document in Pcloud. so I felt forced to try the onedrive install. It worked with usual amount of ms software, install, uninstall, re-isntall, incorrect error messages, re-do settings, having to manually delete folders it wasn’t supposed to sync, etc.
The only problem that I am aware of at the moment is that 2 computers give file status (leave on machine, green circle with check), one an icon next to file name, the other in a column labeled ‘status’. (Thanks ms for the expected inconsistency.) the third and fourth windows computers shows no file statuses (icons or column), or have any onedrive options in right click menu, that I can recognize as onedrive related.
the iphone onedrive app seems to have no way to pick which files/folders are displayed. everything at onedrive shows up in the iphone, with no options to ‘leave on device’, or to not sync them at all.
I have already tried the suggestion to check the option in view to see notifications.
All systems are win10, updated. the iphone is up to 14.5.
Has anyone figured out how to fix these onedrive failures?
