I was restoring a backup of a large set of folders and sub-folders that I had made on a CD. I used Windows Explorer to locate the top folder on the CD and then I drag-and-dropped it on to my C: drive.
The copy started. However, one of the folders on the CD-ROM must have contained an unreadable file because the copy routine soon popped up an error message that it could not read a particular folder. The entire copy was terminated with only a small percentage of the files copied.
How do I tell the copy to continue and ignore the bad file/folder?
My workaround was to re-create the top-level folder structure manually on my C-drive and then drag each sub-folder separately.
Best regards
