I am a retired 77 year old engineer.  As a hobby for most of my adult life I have been interested in coding.  I started with FORTRAN in college and progressed through Basic and Visual Basic up to VB6.  Most of the programs I wrote were small utilities that addressed personal needs or the needs of close friends.  I am well aware that VB is not considered a “quality” programming language, but it has served my purpose.  VB.Net was supposed to bring VB more into acceptance but trying to convert my library of VB6 programs has not seemed worth the effort.  Even when some tweaks are needed in some of my programs, it is easier to continue to use VB6 rather than convert the program to VB.Net to make the change.

Having said all that, I’m wondering if any AskWoody veteran who had used VB6 still has a copy of VB6MouseWheel.exe that you can post in reply.  I have looked in the online sources I know of and have been unable to find a downloadable copy.  Any help would be appreciated.

My dear 77 year old retired engineer “MoonView”, I am 73 years old and I have rediscovered an old hobby: programming databases in MSAccess.
Because I have adopted Linux and stopped using the Windows operating system, I will have to stop programming in MSAccess.
Previously, when I worked with MSAccess I had all the necessary plugins to work comfortably designing both objects and code. About 10 years ago and believing that I would never return to the practice of programming databases and also due to different circumstances that my computer went through with disk failures, formatting and so on, I lost all those necessary plugins when it came to comfortably developing in this very friendly work IDE.
Today and to give a hand to a friend I resumed this pleasant habit and I found that I was needing some plugins such as SmartIndenter, MZ-Tools V3.0, I got these plugins very easily the first one and quite difficult the second one. It should be noted that I am working with a version of MSAccess 2003 under Windows XP that I reinstalled on my machine and now I am back to dual booting, which I had stopped using because Linux is very similar to my principles.
And I was still trying to get scrolling to work in code. I was surfing the internet for several days without being able to find a solution to this problem and thanks to the answer provided by “EyesOnWindows”, I took it, put it into practice and solved the mouse wheel problem in the programming window.

Therefore, I thank both of them for allowing me to enjoy scrolling through code with the mouse wheel again.

P.S., in my search on the internet for a possible solution to this problem, I saw that there are a lot of posts that refer to this wheel issue and the vast majority, except for this one, do not provide any solution, so I understand that as a way of thanking you all, I am going to allow myself to share a link to this post even if I have to register in each one of them.

My language is Spanish and this text is originally in that language and translated by Google.
      Grateful user

      I am a self-taught MsAccess programmer
