• OL 2003 default “text size”

In OL 2003, and possibly others, when you open a message the text size is ‘Medium’. You can change this using the VIEW:TEXT SIZE:Selection. The text sizes range from Smallest to Largest. I’d prefer to use Largest for all my emails, however selecting Largest only lives for the current message. I do not want to change screen resolutions or other workarounds to increase the size, I.e. using a magnifier or CTRL+, CTRL mouse wheel. I just want to change the view text size and make it stick through sessions and reboots. Obviously the default Medium selection is stored in the registry somewhere, but where?

    Thanks,

    Norm

      Norm,

      Welcome to the Lounge!

Sorry I can’t solve your specific problem but the workaround I use is to customize the tool bar with buttons for changing the text size. See graphic attached.

Please note: These buttons will not work on all emails some notable exceptions are my PC World Daily News email and Office Watch newsletter.
