Hello, I’m doing support in a Windows 2000 environment for Office 2000 SR-2 (I believe, though we’ve had problems confirming this on everyone’s PC). A user is having problems printing (in Outlook 2000, from within the message, in “Memo” format) the full text of an HTML formatted email message sent to him from an outside source, and I’ve never seen anything like it. Turns out the entire message prints except for 2 words in different areas of the body of the message. The message is not excessively long (3 paragraphs, maybe 150 words), and does not have any attachment other than the in-line text from the previous message (which, btw, prints fine).
When I print this message to a Lexmark printer, I don’t suffer this effect. When my next-door neighbor tries to print this (to the same Lexmark printer), he prints it with these 2 words missing. This next-door neighbor was able to print this correctly with all words printing after he changed his memo format’s margins (expanded them), but I don’t know why it’s doing this to begin with. My exchange administrator doesn’t know anything about it. Any idea:
a) what might cause this?
what might fix this?
c) If it’s possible that the message itself is corrupt? I didn’t even think this was possible in OL 2000…
Thanks!
Rob
