I have several Windows 10 computers and am in the practice of downloading updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog in order to install them offline on these machines rather than having each one download the updates individually. I can download the Malicious Software Removal Tool from the Update Catalog each month, but, if I run it, Windows fails to recognize that and still insists on downloading it on each machine when they go back online. For some reason, the update is not registered in the history of updates as the cumulative updates are until each machine downloads it individually. Is there not a way to download the tool once and deploy it on multiple machines?
Thank you to anyone who knows how to do this and can explain how to do it.
