    Hi,

I have been using Office 365 for a couple of years on my old laptop, and I’ve just bought a new Dell with the Office 365 trial already installed. I added this to my multi-device license and it seems fine. It has the latest update Version 1810 (Build 11001.20074) (as has my old laptop).

I have hit a problem though; when I view ‘Office Account’ in Outlook, there is No ‘Update Options’ button. I relied on that to control when I allowed updates (DEFCON permitting).

Has it gone permanently? Can I retrieve it?

    John

I have Office 365 updates paused and on 1809 (Build 10827.20138), and the button still show.  You’re ahead of me on the updates.  I’ll have to see what happens if and when I update.

The odd thing is, of course, that my original installation, at the latest version, has the button but my new installation does not.

        Hmm?

I think that means you need to uninstall Office 365 Trial and install Office 365 Home, but I haven’t yet been able to find a link which supports that opinion.

Thanks b, I’ll try that, and post the results.

Edited – Can’t find uninstall for the trial so am installing Home Premium .

          That’s brilliant b!!!!

Didn’t need to uninstall, just to install the correct version……

And low and behold, I have an “Update Options” button!

          Thanks again
