Does any one know haw to reapply SR1 to O2K after a HD format? I could download it all again but I thought keeping the patch would save me spending hours on the internet if I needed it again.
I was also think ing of using it on my laptop – is that legal?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody_MVPOctober 28, 2002 at 8:46 pm #627208You can down load any SR or SP and save to any other drive, floppy, Zip or CD. It can be used many tines as needed, on as many machines as required.
If you get a CD from MS you can NOT copy the CD.

Each flavor of Office 2000 has its own license. You will need to check yours to see if it provides the right to copy onto a laptop. See Can I make a second copy of Microsoft Office for Windows
