    We have a situation in Office 2013 where we have a document with a front page, section break and then the main text. We do not wish to number the front page but want the rest of the document numbered as if there was no front page.i.e Page x of y where y starts at page 2.

    I am sure I could do this in previous versions

      For ‘y’ you could use either
      {SectionPages}
      or
      {={NumPages} – 1}

      If you need the page numbering to be accurate in a Table of Contents, you will need to format your page numbers to start differently. In some versions of Word it is possible to number the first page as 0 (even if you never show the page number). Otherwise, you would need to restart the numbering at 1 where you want to start displaying numbering.

      You may want to take a look at Suzanne Barnhill’s article on Setting Up Front Matter.

        We don’t need a table of contents so Andrews answer will do the trick
        Thanks for taking the time
