I have an XP (SP3) machine with one Computer Administrator account and three limited user accounts.
The limited user accounts are experiencing trouble with opening Office 2003 applications. Each application will open, but each time it asks for the user name details (as it should on first opening after install) but that information does not ‘stick’ and the user is asked for it each time. And there are two of these dialogue boxes each time. So the user accepts the first box (with the application splash screen in the background) and then is faced with the same dialogue box again (with the normal template in the background each time).
When they close Word, they are asked if they want to save their chages to the global normal template (whether they have made changes or not). The only answer here is No, because as limited users, they do not have the permissions to change this.
Is this a corruption in each of the three limited accounts, or a problem in Office? And what do I do about it?
