I have a document with an embedded object in the upper left-hand corner of the header. I can open the header, resize the object to the desired size, close the header, and save and close the document. When I then reopen the document the object has reduced in size and is very small. Any suggestions as to how to keep the object at the desired size when closing and reopening the document?

Is the object linked in and the links are updating on open?

Are there any macro’s running on close or on open?

I have removed the object and re-embedded it (Insert>Picture>From File). It still does the same thing. I do not have any macros running. Thanks.

Try opening the imgage (I’m assuming it’s some kind of graphic) in a graphics
editor (not Word), resize it there then save it re-insert in into Word. Did that help?

Thanks. That appears to have worked. I resized it in another application, saved the new file and inserted it. It was still a little big, but it did not shrink when I closed and reopened the document. I then resized it inside Word a little, closed and reopened the document and it appears to be holding the size. Thanks again.
