• NVIDIA Scheduled Tasks Necessary?

    Hey Y’all,

I was wandering around my Scheduled Tasks today trying to debut a startup anomaly (solved) and I ran across all of the NVIDIA video card scheduled tasks. I’m about to disable them to determine if they can be eliminated. However, I thought I’d check in here to see if there any caveats I should be aware of?  😎

I game with a 1060 on W7 and like to keep my rig pretty lean; none of those are enabled (the last 3 are telemetry), only two NV drivers are loaded here, no Experience, Control Panel or other non-essential stuff. No problems either.

      Hey RG,

Where in the Task Scheduler did you locate these entries?

Recently upgraded to v1903, my TS basically has a long list under the Microsoft>Windows category but I find nothing regarding NVIDIA in there.

      Running NVIDIA GTX 1060.

I don’t have any scheduled tasks or services running across many different machines with nvidia cards. I don’t install experience, physx or anything but the drivers. After install I run the following in an elevated command prompt to remove all telemetry, logs, services and tasks. Haven’t had any issues.

      rundll32 “%PROGRAMFILES%\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\InstallerCore\NVI2.DLL”,UninstallPackage NvTelemetryContainer
