Put your cursor somewhere in the first paragraph of your numbered list (the one with number 1)
Format > Bullets and Numbering > Customize > Number Position > Right.

I deleted the original because you answered my question and didn’t know how else to take it out. I’m very much the new-b.

        Goldie,

This forum can be very much an archive, as well as just a place to get your own answers.

If you’ve had a problem, there’s a chance someone else will have the same problem further down the track- and will get some help by reading the whole thread.

It’s no big deal. But that’s the reason we prefer to leave the original posts alone.

Welcome to the forum, and we hope you get some good value out of it.

When trying to use a numbered list, I’m finding that the numbers are not lining up correctly. I begin w/ the number 1 and by the time the number 10 comes around the 0 is left of the 9 instead of under it and the 1 is under the 9. Any suggestions on how to make the 1 to the right of the 9 and the 0 under the 9?

Change your number format from 1,2,3 to 01,02, 03. Don’t worry. It will count 08, 09, 10, 11. You can do this from the Format Menu—Bullets and Numbering—Numbering Tab—Choose a Number format—Click the Customize button.

        I hope this helps!
