Nothing happens when we click on START

Windows 10. Just noticed that when you click on the Windows 10 START button nothing happens. Also you can’t click on a picture file. Appreciate any suggestions.

Not sure this applies, but sometimes Windows Explorer process gets stuck. Try Ctrl-Alt-Delete and click Task Manager to open up Task Manager window. Within Task Manager (Process tab), find Windows Explorer process and click on it to select. There should be a Restart button in lower right part of window. Click on the Restart button to restart Windows Explorer and a lot of times that gets things working again. If the processes are sorted by name, Windows Explorer will be very near the bottom.

check that both the windows push notification services are set to automatic, if they dont run the start menu will not work
