Thanks Tony, I remember looking at Notepad++ a while back but rejected it because I couldn’t find a sort feature for text. It appears to have one now. I don’t suppose you know how to assign a shortcut to TextFX Tools (sort lines case insensitive) do you? I tried recording a macro but couldn’t get that to work.

I too am going to give it a look, but I always find myself wishing I had a comparison to other products! I’ve used NoteTab Lite for several years and wish to see how this one compares. I guess I’ll have to give it a run to find out.

Compare Notepad++ to EditPad Lite. Many years ago I started with EditPad Lite and quickly moved up to the “Pro” version and have never regretted it. Good support too from the programmer.

Now at v4.0.2 (fixes 3 issues that caused it to crash plus one other bug)

Think I’ll wait for the dust to settle on this latest version before I try it.
